FFXIV Attuibute video

Ok, a user called Carmin Pierre requested a video that showed the attuibute upgrading/changing system in FFXIV and I'm answering that request with this new video for you all.

See I do actually read the comments and try to get you all what you want to see!  Its as easy and commenting on a post!

Guild leve quest screen shot update

First of all, sorry for the late update today.  I brought Avatar on Blu-Ray and I watched that before I turned my PC on!

I was planning to do a video update today but I seem to be having problems with uploading videos to YouTube so I have taken some screens of the video I would of done.  Hopefully YouTube will fix the problem by tomorrow (its just some sort of connection time-out problem) and I can upload the video then.

Anyway here are four screens from the video and they are quite interesting.

I find the second screen quite interesting.  After screen one where the quest has been selected, in screen two a quest difficulty box appears so you can select how many people are your team.  I would guess that the higher the difficulty, the better the reward for the quest.  Seeing this makes me think that the lessons from FFXI have been learnt and it looks like the game can be played with or without other players.  Something I think crippled FFXI for a large part.

FFXIV Alpha Video Update - Menus and stats

The site counter.....It's over 9000!

I'm at work at the moment (I'll do a proper post when I get home), but I just noticed that the counter has passed 9000 now.  Thank you to everyone for your interest in this blog, and I hope for your continued support!

What's in store for next week?

OK, its the weekend now and I'm going out because the weathers great!  But next week I have some nice updates planned thanks to all the new material I have got my hands on.  I have new HD videos, saved copies of the FFXIV Alpha testers forums and some other little gems.
I am working on an update where I can show screens in relation to the game maps which should give some nice insight into the landscape.  Anyway that's it for this week, I'll be back Monday with more to share.  If you bored you could always help support this site by checking out the google adverts on the top right of the page, it helps me a lot guys!

Wow your equipment is....oh wait, your a noob!

One key part of FFXIV will be the equipment that your character wears.  In this series of screens we will be looking at the first lot of basic gear that you start of with.  From this you will be able to gain an idea on the sort of stats you will be dealing with on your in-game equipment.

HD FFXIV Alpha Video Number 1 & Site layout change

Thats right, I have now uploaded my first FFXIV video that is in 720p res and is as smooth as a babys bum! It features an Elezen tavelling the landscape and looks great. Also now some new videos are going to be in 720p I have changed the layout of the site so the vidoes fit better. What you see now may be temporary until I put something better together, but it at least works correct now.

Ok I promised better quality videos and here is the first one and it's not a Pooky video!  I advise you watch this one in 480p as the text is readable then.

Guild Leve in High res!

Thanks to a user named meurig I now have some HD quality Alpha videos, none of which contain Pooky Poo!  These are all new videos showing other races and other players!  I should have the first of these new videos online by tonight!  Untill then here are some shots from one of the new videos showing information on the Guild Leve system.  Enjoy!

New FFXIV Alpha video

Ok here is a video of Pooky travelling around, fighting and using the talent point system to improve his stats.  I have only just uploaded this so the quality of the video will improve in about an hour after this post.  I hope you enjoy it though.

Oh what? No update tonight?

Theres no update tonight, I'm going out for beers!  But if it makes you all feel any better I have been re-converting the .flv FFXIV videos I have into high quality youtube-ready formats.  So expect a good video update tomorrow.  Before I cut them ready for upload, if there is anything you would like to see drop a comment in this post and I'll try to include it in tomorrows update.

Sony are not impressed

Looks like Sony was not happy that I posted on the Offical Playstation forum, telling people about this blog.  So unhappy they were, that they have felt the need to ban me from their forum site.

Fields of glory

In todays screen shot update we are going to take a look at an outside area of FFXIV, so lets dive straight in and get started.

1) Here we see Pooky and a couple of friends have decided to band together and traverse the green landscape around them.  Watch out for them rats guys!

2) Oh no!  Pooky has run into a rat!  It's ok though, a weak beast like this shouldn't cause Pooky and his group any threat.

3) Looks like the group has run into a hat now.  Oh no its just another rat, Pookys weapon is in the way!

4) Pookys group have found a mining point which is shown by this star on the rock.  If only Pooky had an excavating tool then he could dig up some ore at this point.  Oh well, might as well just move on guys.

5) We'll end this update with this nice shot of La Noscea in the distance.  Doesn't it all look lovely?

In upcoming updates we'll be looking more at battles and showing how the level stats work in the Alpha version.  See you all soon!

Also I contacted Pooky Poo about the FFXIV vidoes that I have used. As some of you may be confused about this issue I would just like to let you all know that I am not Pooky Poo.
Who I am is someone who saved a few hours of Pookys videos to my HDD becuase I knew they would be taken down not long after they went up.

Pooky seems ok with me uploading videos/screens but the post I made saying that I am not actually Pooky myself seems to of been missed.

So not much has changed, I'll still be putting more stuff online as there is quite a lot of footage I saved, but Pooky didn't make copies of what was online. So it seems I have the only copies and the only place to seem them is here!
